Woodruff Honors Its Heroes7/3/2008

With a large crowd in attendance Monday night, the city of Woodruff honored seven of its own. Rodney Rice, Tommy Smith, Kevin Felts, Brian Knighton, Charles Hunter, Britt Simmons, and William Gary were presented the Woodruff Citizen Heroism Award.

Munky Bizness Celebrates First Anniversary6/19/2008

Munky Bizness, an entertainment center for children ages 10 and under and located at 4141 Highway 9, Boiling Springs, celebrated their first anniversary of business on June 7. The party featured a performance by the SMA Karate Gifted warriors, a dunk tank, a small animal petting area, cotton candy, sno-cones, and candy apples, as well as free food provided by Munky Bizness.

Boiling Springs Child Care Graduates K4 Class of 20086/12/2008

Four years ago, Lisa Greer, owner of Boiling Springs Child Care for 19 years, enrolled her child care business in the Quality Institute, a program sponsored by Spartanburg County First Steps. The Quality Institute is an early childhood initiative funded by the Mary Black Foundation to help raise the quality of child care and child development centers.

428 BSHS Seniors Graduate6/5/2008

As the month of May 2008 drew to an end on the 30th so did the high school careers of 428 seniors at Boiling Springs High School. Following a stirring singing of the national anthem by senior Hannah White, Senior class President Jennifer Moore challenged all the graduates to be the best they could be as they move to the next stage of their lives after high school. Diplomas were presented by District Two School Superintendent Dr. Scott Mercer.
