South Carolina is one of four states that have said it would reject the National ID card system. States had until March 31 to ask the Department of Homeland Security for an extension that would allow state licenses and ID cards to remain “valid for federal purposes.”

The only way to see George Clooney in the Upstate on April 4 will be on the big screen. “Leatherheads” is expected to make a massive debut in the Carolinas where most of the movie was produced.

George Clooney and Renee Zellweger are coming to Greenville March 27 to receive the key to the city of Greenville.

Contestants in this year’s Greer Chili Cook-Off hope to bring something different to the tables that will line Trade Street Thursday evening. The public will then cast their ballots for their choice of “Greer’s Best Chili.” Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners and the first place winner will also receive a traveling trophy to keep in their respective restaurant throughout the year.
