| IES Students Raise Money to “Help Kiss Cancer Goodbye” | 5/2/2008 |

Students at Inman Elementary School completed a month-of-March-long program entitled “Help Kiss Cancer Goodbye”, on Friday, 25th April. At this time, Principal Beth Young and Assistant Principal Cheryl Mallant literally kissed a pig. During March, students brought piggy banks from home, which were installed in all grade levels and the principal’s office to receive coins to determine the winner of the contest (the bank with the most money), who would then have to kiss a pig on stage. The piggy bank in the principal’s office was overwhelmingly the winner. This was obviously a win-win-win situation, as more than $400.00 was raised and donated to the March of Dimes and the Relay For Life. Continued... |

Food Lion opened its doors to Inman customers this morning with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m. Along with the grand opening festivities at its newest store, Food Lion donated a total of $1,000 to benefit local schools. Continued... |
