HOMETOWN NEWS
With the beginning of a new fiscal year several special meetings have been held by the Cowpens Town Council to discuss the budget, special needs and new ideas for the year.
Also, a discussion was held on things that the council and the Town of Cowpens would like to get done and appreciation was expressed for things that have been accomplished.
Council members also discussed some special projects that have been completed such as the Second Sidewalk Project and also included the wall on Palmetto Street being repaired, the lights at Veterans Park being repaired, and the timer problem being corrected. They also pointed out the tree at the Farmers Market was removed, more parking space signs were added, and the flower baskets on the street and the flower bed under the Message Center at Town Hall were worked on, adding to the beauty of the downtown area.
