Bachmann draws huge crowd to Beacon

By Leon G. Russ
HOMETOWN NEWS

As the blue bus traveling down John B. White Boulevard came into view the crowd with hundreds of Michelle Bachmann supporters broke into a loud roar of applause and shouts of “We love you Michelle!”
Bachmann’s stop on Tuesday at the Beacon was part of her “Take Our County Back Tour.”
She shook hands as she made her way to the stage in the Beacon parking lot and it didn’t take long for her to serve up the red meat her supporters were looking for.
She unapologetically said, “We are going to stand for religious liberty.  We believe in life from conception until natural death and we’re going to stand for it.”
Bachmann continued whipping up the crowd early saying, “We believe in marriage between one man and one woman.  We believe in the importance of the family and it’s the number one unit of government.  We will stand for the family.”
She said her campaign is part of a movement that is sweeping the country, the Tea Party movement.  Bachmann said the Tea Party will “deliver this victory in 2012.”
