Byrnes’ Torrey Johnson is one of three local golfers to be named to next week’s North-South All-Star matches in Myrtle Beach.
Five local athletes and one coach have been selected for the North-South All-Star games for their respective sports.
Byrnes’ Torrey Johnson, Dorman’s Arran Setro and Gaffney’s Adam Goins were all selected to play on the North All-Star golf team.
The team will take on its counterparts from the South in the North-South All-Star golf matches on May 21-23. The event will be held at Quail Creek Golf Club at Coastal Carolina University near Conway.
In addition, two local players have been selected to play on the North All-Star tennis squad.
Boiling Springs’ Chase Lyles and Spartanburg’s Ben Bramhall will participate in the event, which will be held May 23-25 at Prestwick Golf and Tennis Club near Surfside Beach.
Boiling Springs head tennis coach Todd Seagle is the co-coach of the North squad.
