Mountaineers crush Terriers

Wofford back-up quarterback Brian Kass scored a touchdown for the
Terriers late in the second half. Appalachian State topped Wofford 43-13 at Boone on Saturday.

It was “Nightmare on The Rock, Part II” for the Wofford Terriers. Appalachian State shut down the Terrier offense and capitalized on four Wofford fumbles to claim a 43-13 victory and the top spot in the Southern Conference for the sixth year in a row.
“The Rock” is the nickname for the Mountaineers stadium and the last time the Terriers played at Appalachian State was on Halloween night in 2008.  It was a horror show for the Terriers as the Mountaineers won 70-24.
