Gaffney man charged with homicide

BY JANET S. SPENCER
HOMETOWN NEWS
A Gaffney man is accused of beating his roommate to death, before he reported both were assaulted by a third person.
Detective Daniel Ward signed an arrest warrant charging Eduardo Enrique Molina, 25, with murder. Molina is being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center, awaiting a bond hearing.
The victim, Efrain Acosta Martinez, 30, shared an apartment at Magnolia Ridge off Goldmine Springs Road, authorities said.
Emergency crews responded to the residence about 12:30 a.m. on March 24 when they said Molina called 911.
Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene by Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler.
