Inman man dead at scene of incident

An Inman man was shot and killed late Sunday night when the man that he and another suspect allegedly attempted to rob, shot him.
According to police reports obtained from the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, John Christopher Fowler, 28, of 571 Nature Walk Way, Inman, was found dead on the scene when officers arrived at the 300 block of Cottage Mill Run in Boiling Springs, the incident’s location.
The victim/shooter told investigators that he had noticed a vehicle following him home late Sunday night. He stated that once he turned into his driveway, the vehicle that had followed him home drove slowly past his home and then turned around and drove slowly past his home again.
