Three of the eight Norman Rockwell works that were displayed at the Spartanburg Art Museum at the Chapman Cultural Center last weekend are shown.
Upstate Norman Rockwell fans were given a treat this past weekend when eight Rockwell paintings were displayed in association with the 100th anniversary exhibit of the Boy Scouts at the Spartanburg Art Museum at the Chapman Cultural Center Saturday through Monday.
Rockwell’s first job after art school was illustrating the monthly publication of the Boy Scouts, Boy’s Life magazine in the 1910s. It was his first, and only, salaried position which he held from 1913 to 1916.
