Chesnee resident Taylor Miller placed sixth out of sixty-four contestants in the latest season of Liberty Idol, a singing competition in Liberty, SC. Miller performed as one of nine finalists in the final show of the season on July 2.
Miller auditioned in April along with many other contestants, and was one of sixty-four who were selected for the competition. She performed in five rounds of competition, in which she and others were required to perform songs from genres such as oldies and country.
At the conclusion of each show, the live audience voted to select which contestants would advance to the next round of competition. For the first time, contestants were also chosen by text vote to advance by the television viewing audience.
