The fifth annual Kops Kids Toy Run is scheduled for December 7, 2008, in Chesnee. All motorcycle riders are invited to bring an unwrapped toy or cash donation and ride in this annual event to benefit Chesnee area children.
The event, sponsored by Chesnee Classic Cycle, Chesnee ABATE, Chesnee Police Department, and Fred’s Department store has seen consistent growth since the first year. Last year’s event raised approximately $4500.00 in cash and toy donations. All proceeds go directly toward making Christmas a little happier for some less fortunate child in the Chesnee area.
The ride begins in the parking lot of Fred’s Department store at 2:00 p.m. on December 7 and ends at Chesnee Classic Cycle after a tour through the nearby countryside. There will also be door prizes and an auction following the ride.
