On Monday afternoon, Greenville High principal JF Dalton Lucas, Jr. issued the following statement in response to Greenville being the school that informed the High School League of possible illegal contact during a Greer High football practice:
During the first three days of football practice, there were three separate photos on Greenville Online and a video on Channel 4 showing individual teams using three different size arm shields. A coach called for clarification on which shield was legal for practice.
