Jay King, Hometown News The $1.2 million plan to put mobile data terminals in 200 Spartanburg County Sheriff’s cruisers has hit a snag as some questions during the bid process have temporarily delayed the awarding of the bid for the project.
According to county Purchasing Director Mike Emory, one of the companies who placed a bid had some questions about the bid process and that resolving those questions has put the project on hold.
“We want to make sure that we treat all of the companies who bid on this fairly,” Emory said Monday.
He added that he expected to speak with the company this week and anticipated being able to resolve the issues raised. He said following that the county should be able to move forward with awarding the bid.
