It was all for the Kops Kids in Chesnee on April 2, 2010, as the stars of American Professional Wrestling and the Southern Wrestling Association squared off in the ring in a “Brawl for it All” wrestling show. Kops Kids helps needy children and families every year at Christmas time. Wrestlers like Wicked, Dirty, Major Crunk, Eric Antoine, Chesnee’s own star, Nick Fury, Mickey Richards and midget wrestler Mike Justice thrilled the sell-out crowd at city hall with their high-flying and hard-hitting matches.
Wrestling legend Ricky Morton of Rock and Roll Express fame was also on hand. Morton said, “I have been doing this for 33 years. My dad was a wrestler and a referee and I have a lot of memories. What I am proudest of, though, is that I had a role in paving the road to what a big success professional wrestling is today. I love doing this for the kids. This is a good thing Chesnee is doing for their kids benefit and I like helping the town and the community.”
