Inman City Council met Monday night, approving a budget for fiscal year 2011-2012 on second reading.
The budget includes projected revenues and expenditures of $968,000. It reflects a .0052 percent change in both those categories over the present fiscal year.
The estimated millage remains at 60.2 mills with no increase. The estimated millage equates to $60.20 per $1000 of property value.
The budget was unanimously approved by council.
Also approved was a request for funding for the 30th Annual Harvest Day Festival. Wanda Ballenger, with the Greater Inman Area Chamber of Commerce, had approached council last month with a request of $10,000. That request was denied in a 3-2 vote, with council members Huff and Morrow in favor.Ballenger was told that council would be more comfortable with a figure around $7,000. Ballenger requested that amount on Monday night, and the request was unanimously approved.
Council also approved on first reading an annexation ordinance for property at 508 Nature Walk way in the Woods Creek Crossing subdivision. The vote was 4-0, with Mayor Cantrell recusing himself from discussion or voting due to a possible conflict of interest.
