John Messer, Contributing Writer The Spirit of Christmas is known to be alive and well in Inman, and believed to be so across Spartanburg County, South Carolina, our great nation, and the world, as well. Brothers of Inman’s AFM Lodge #201 have been preparing for several weeks to celebrate Christmas in the Christian tradition of giving. One of many benevolent charitable acts undertaken was the adoption of a family, with children, to supply with Christmas presents.
The Guidance Counselor at Inman Elementary School selected three families for consideration, and assigned one of the three to Will Spearman, on request. This family of 3 children, ages 6, 2, and 1, makes its home with the permanently disabled grandmother, and all were extremely appreciative of the assistance received.
