Ingrid Norris, The Humane Education Coordinator of The Spartanburg Humane Society, was at Abner Creek Elementary School last Tuesday to teach students the basic principles of responsible pet ownership. Therapy dogs, along with their owners, were also on hand so that students could interact with the dogs and practice the things that they were taught; such as the correct way to approach and pet a dog.
Students were taught the values of pet ownership and the importance of providing a dog or cat with a proper diet and needed exercise.
