Mrs. Clara Edwards was honored in Columbia at the South Carolina State House on Thursday, March 25,2010, by Rep. Rita Allison and the SC House of Representatives.  Mrs. Edwards was honored on her 91st birthday for her service to her area and the State of South Carolina. Mrs. Edwards served for 37 years on the Holly Springs Fire Department, which she and her husband  organized, as a member, treasurer and commissioner. She retired this year after serving as Chairwoman.
She also organized and served as chairman of the Landrum Quilters.
