Wellford Mayor Sallie Peake said she aims to continue to build upon the progress that has been made in the city during the 16 years she’s held the chief executive’s seat.
She said there are a number of projects underway designed to improve the lives of Wellford residents, from a new park complex at the site of the old D.R. Hill Middle School to completing the Main Street sewer project and completing the new museum.
“I want voters to know that I’ll continue to give them the same service I have for 16 years,” Peake said. “I’m concerned and experienced and dedicated to the citizens.”
The mayor said a lot of progress has been made during her tenure, including upgrading City Hall, undertaking a major sewer improvement project and a series of beautification efforts throughout the city’s 11 square miles.
