BATTLING THE BLAZE
Firefighters from seven area departments battled a blaze at The Haven at Berry Shoals apartment complex in Duncan for several hours on Saturday. The fire badly damaged 16 apartment units and displaced 32 families at the complex.
Hometown News and the Middle Tyger YMCA will be collecting canned foods and other dry goods for the victims of the fire. You can drop off items at The Greer Citizen, 317 Trade St., Greer; at The Woodruff News, 438 N. Main St., Woodruff; or at the Middle Tyger YMCA, 720 Shoals Road, Duncan.
