Veterans Day is a time of celebration where citizens honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, willingness to serve, and sacrifice for the common good of the country.
Last Thursday Whitmire Community School welcomed veterans from the Whitmire community to join them in a very inspirational program in honor of them. The program was called to order by Joey Haney, Principal of the school. Then the Whitmire Boy Scout Troop 200 followed with the Presentation of Colors. Alex Cromer, Student Body President led everyone with the Pledge of Allegiance. Next, Alex along with Lee Sims addressed the etiquette of the American Flag.
