HOMETOWN NEWS
The District Four Board of Trustees approved a Bond Anticipation Note (BAN) for $1.2 Million, and approved facilities upgrades that will use approximately $600,000 of that BAN. The other $600,000 will be used to pay off the $600,000 BAN that was taken out last year by the district to do facilities upgrades for the 2010/2011 school year.
The BAN projects that are planned for the 2011/2012 school year and that were approved by the board were tile replacement at the lobby at Woodruff High, cardio and weight equipment upgrades, upgrading and adding security cameras, bleacher seat replacement on the home side at the stadium, replacement of WHS stadium lights, parking lot repairs and upgrades at WPS Kindergarten pick-up area, WES student pick-up area, WMS teacher parking and bus pick-up area, WHS teacher parking, and District Office front parking.
