Jamie Woodruff, Miss Woodruff High 2011, submitted her written resignation to WHS principal Aaron Fulmer. In her letter, she stated, “After prayerful deliberation, I hereby submit my resignation as Miss Woodruff High School 2011. I realize that I must confront my mistakes and move forward. My resignation will enable me to do that.
“I appreciate the support and encouragement of my parents, family, students, friends, and community. However, because of my love for Woodruff High School, I believe it is in its best interest that I relinquish my title.
Thank you for your consideration, and please convey my best wishes to my successor.”
According to Fulmer, Willeisha Davis, who was selected 1st runner-up in the March pageant, has been named Woodruff’s successor.
