Children taken into protective custody

Police officers took two children into emergency protective custody on July 28 after finding 3.3 grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, including a razor, within their reach at a Woodruff home.
Autumn Leigh Rice, 25, of Woodruff, and Sarah Jones Posey, 50, of Woodruff, were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Rice was also charged with loitering to engage in criminal activity. Warrants for possession with intent to distribute cocaine base were also issued for both women, according to the police report.
According to the incident report, officers performed a search warrant at 125 Miller Road at 9:30 p.m. on July 28.
