A local nonprofit organization that started by providing food to needy residents celebrated its twentieth year of service in Woodruff on Nov. 3.
“Tonight we celebrate 20 years of ministering to people here in the Woodruff community, and we want to say thank you to our board members and volunteers for all of their hard work,” Lisa Abercrombie, executive director of Helping Hands Ministries of Woodruff, said in her introductory remarks Thursday evening.
